That's a great session, from 1960. I've got some of his stuff now I'll have to track this CD set down as it's not currently in production. For those who not heard the story, in 1972 Lee Morgan, then 33 years old, was about to go on stage for a performance at the jazz club, Slug's, in NYC, when his common-law wife walked in and shot him dead.
