A was up gc this is the question I put it directley in to the soil it came up a few days later but the shell has not come off the stem yet. I have not put any light on it yet so do I need to put the light on it or just wait to see if the shell comes off.
You can gauge whether or not a seedling needs light by the depth it's suggested to plant it at. In the case of cannabis, you only want to plant the seed 1/4-1/2 inch into the soil, in nature that would be shallow enough for light to penetrate the soil and reach the seedling as it sprouts. You don't need direct light, but you need enough to activate the chlorophyll in the seedling so it knows it's safe to come out.
Yes. Give them light. And give it a few days to shake the shell away by itself. If it still there, you will help a bit, but in the meantime just give it light and let it work
