Hey City, SO lately I've been enjoying the sky. The clouds moving, clear blue skies, sunshine, sunsets, the moon and of course the stars. Buut out of all of them, the stars are by far the most amazing thing to look up at and ponder. I live in an area where the light pollution is not terrible (although it is noticeable)- but I also go hiking and camping all over, so I think a telescope would be a good investment. Anyone have any reccomendations as to what to look for when buying one? It definately needs to be somewhat compact and relatively light (so I am able to take it backpacking). Also I'm not looking to dump a lot of money into it- I'd like it to be under $100. Any help is appreciated.
That's a really good idea. That's pretty much what a lot of people have to do to see the stars because in a lot of places it's hard to see even in the country. Look at the light pollution!
