TDS when watering soil? Please clarify.

  1. What should my waters TDS be after I add nutes? Or do I even need to measure/worry about this if i'm using RO water? I'm really confused about the TDS and what my ph should be when watering. would 6.5 be a good ph for my water since thats what I want my soil to be?

  2. If you want to get an idea of how low, neutral, or high you PH is before you begin take a reading. (Also PPM of RO water)
You can make a note to self as to how much your nutrients fluctuate the PH when added.
If PPM is a big deal for you then you will need a before and after. (more information)
I check my water before and after but, thats preference.
As you water/feed your plant the nutrients added will lose strength on the way down and out the other end.
Check the PH of the run-off and you will see what I mean.
Aim a little higher to get those bottom roots the desired PH.
