Discussion in 'Hydroponic Grow Journals' started by tdogg4200, Jan 13, 2010.

  1. Yo wats up, this is my very first attempt to grow, so yeah wish me luck.

Im using SH bubble system, im going to be growing 6 white widows (If they all turn out Fem). I got my rock wool soaking in 5.5 ish ph water and I got my seeds sitting in a cup of water in one of my cabinets. Im going to let them sit over nite and then throw em in the bubbles system and hopefully they will grow for me. :D

Anyways well hope all goes well

  4. Ok I have a problem with my water pump. It doesnt want to stay connected at all.. it just ends up fall over.. I think they sent me the wrong connector. Anyway I can fix this problem, I tried duck tape but that didn't work.. it eventually fell off. The tube-->connector peice--->waterpump.. Tube with the black connector doesnt want to stay down on the water pump.. Just falls over or slids off. Here are some pics

  6. Best of luck, it can be tricky at first, lol. Have you tried using hose clamps? I just used a small one from Home Depot to hold the hose to my pump, works just fine. :)

  7. Hose clamp, like the one in the picture?
I have a temp fix from an idea someone gave me. I took glad wrap and wrapped it several time around the peice of the water pump the the black connector peice goes to... and then shoved it on there and well it seems to be staying

    Thanks for the help

  10. Those are exactly the type of clamps I'm talking about, maybe a quarter a peice from a hardware store.

The sprouts look good, should be popping above the surface in the next day or two. They can really take off at that point, it's all up to how you want to grow them. I kept mine as short and bushy as possible, but it's pretty much personal preference, and largely determined by the amount of space you have to work with.

Sending good vibes your way man.

  11. Day 4: Jan 18

Kinna funny bad news and good news. Bad news SOMETHING GOT MY BEST SPROUT, like its completly gone. I've seen a mouse in my house a few times and I bet the lil sucker got it. So I started to germ another seed... hopefully I won't have anymore problems if I do then I guess ill have to set up traps or something.

Good news.. 4 of my seeds have completly came to the surface :) and some even have there first 2 leafs starting :)

Well that's about it for today.

Ohh and when do you guys think i should add a fan to the mix?

  12. I added a fan to mine as soon as she was out from under her make shift propogator. It'll help her develop a nice thick stem. :)
