Tax sites to file Federal for free

    Hey blades, so I am coming to you for some advice.

    I went to e-file my taxes today on TurboTax only to find out that they claim its free to file your federal taxes for free because at the end it tells you to pay 40 bucks.

    Do you guys know of any sites that are actually free to file you federal tax return? THanks :)

    Simple tax returns for Federal are free on turbo tax.

    I didn't pay a cent for my when I did it. You have to pay for State though

    I figured out that since I used the same account as I did in previous years, the trasfering of my info turns it into a payed version, so I guess I have to try making a new account and start fresh. I hate taxes. :)

    I'm back.

    I tried to start over and made sure I stayed with the free Turbotax shit and it insists it charges me seconds before ending!

    How else do you American tax payers file your Federal taxes for free?!

    Any help is greatly wanted, your sort of acting as my parents I guess :)

    i used taxslayer.com and was free for both state and federal. got 1725 in total back 8)

    Thanks I'll take a look into that.

    Any other suggestions I could use the tax advice :p
