T-5 t-8 ?

  1. Hello had alighting question was hoping someone could shed some light on this . So i havle a small 250 watt CFL I use for seedlings i a have a tent with 400 watt MH and HPS i use but was looking after seedling to put them under a t5 t-8 for ab0ut 30 days till i drop them in my tent to SCROG any advice would be great also want to clone under them don't know what the differance is betwen them thanks in advance.

  3. T8s for home lighting. T5 is a higher output bulb.

    Get the T5s. And they rock for seedlings & cuttings IME.
     
  4. T8 32 watt 4 ft lamps put out less then 3000 lumens per lamp. T5 54 watt HO 4 ft lamps put out 5000 lumens per lamp. Big difference!
     
  5. Cheap T8's are great for clones and seedlings, see shop lights ..best are 4ft twin tubes, at 3000+ lumens per tubes, 4ft, 54w T5's are better more expensive, some here go veg and bud with T5's, compare 54w vs 36w per tube 3000/5000 lumens.
    Either way hang them close within 2-3 inches
