In the book Swan, by Robert R McCammon it's pretty fuckin far fetched that There'd be a red cross encampment just over the other side of that mountain. I mean the supernatural elements, I can accept that, it's a horror story. But I can't accept the red cross encampment. Ruins the whole story for me. Now Neverwhere, that was a good book, cover to cover. Kind of like The Stand, and The Stand is my second favorite book, just behind Lord Of The Rings.
