Supercloset Grow Questions Have You Ever...?

  1. Hey Fellow GC blades,

For those that have a supercloset, (like a 4 by 4 tent with hydroponics) have you guys ever had your bottom clonning chamber with the t-5,s light going, while the top hps lights are on and your fininishing out flowering on top chamber? I m concerned about light leaks spoiling what I have. What do you guys think? (have light proofed it to best of my ability.) thanks!

  2. I don't have one, but checking/fixing light leaks is the same for any grow area.

At night, close all doors and turn all lights in the room off.
Turn on lights in the chamber you want to test, and seal the chamber.
Open all other areas and check seams/edges for any sign of light.

In a pitch black room, any light leaks should be readily visible.
This would be best done before starting any plants, with all chambers running all equipment like they would be during a cycle, just empty of plants.

It's also helpful to run the full grow area like this for 24+ hours before starting plants to monitor temperatures/humidity, ensure timers go off correctly, etc.
