What are some artists similar to Bonobo, Quantam, Mechanical Me, From Monument To Masses or even J Dilla, Flying Lotus etc.? I am a very big fan of instrumental music from all genres but am trying to find more of the downtempo/jazzy/soul style and hip hop. Please suggest me some artists, thanks guys!
Ozric Tentacles is number one Then, lemme throw a shmorgasbord of suggestions: Buckethead (so much material, so many styles, something of his will be up your alley...) cLOUDDEAD Burial Distance Hallucionogen Hidria Spacefolk Lotus Prometheus Shin Terai Shpongle shulman solar fields ott diplo
For some jazzy/ soul i'd suggest two songs, "Take Five" "Moon Dance" I'm a saxaphone player and love these two songs Sorry I'm too Blazed to remember the artists, but you can search the song by name

so far 90% of the suggestions have been good im aware of the brainfeeder label and hyperdub label, both are sick thanks for all the suggestions im looking into every single one so keep them coming, I'm just trying to expand my collection as I used to DJ and am learning to produce now
Jaga is awesome, as well as Tortoise...if you EVER get to see them live-do it take a smoke and listen [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5sps7YxLeYM]YouTube - Tortoise - Live at Werchter [full set][/ame]
Shit, I have a ton of Shadow and I didn't really think about listing him, I'm glad someone did. But you didn't have to say it that way. Lot of artists I listed aren't even purporting to be the same style of music. To each their own, but if you think DJ Shadow shits on Ozric, well, thats your opinion, but maybe a misinformed one? Love DJ Shadow and Ozric (and the others I guess) about equally, not giving either the satisfaction of 'beating' the other.
