Student Faces 3 years for modding xbox 360

    I remember hearing this story on the twit netword. RIDICULOUS!! I'm not going to say what has been said a thousand times so I'll say this: a friend of mine is modding an old skool xbox for one of his college classes

    If you're an individual modifying your own components there should be no issues.

    BUT this guy was modifying OTHER people's equipment for money, and I think that's what's going to sink him.

    Yes but still, up to 3 years thats crazy. Some killers/rapist don't even get up to 3 years.

    I think the modding community has a lot of great ideas. I believe most of these consoles that have a lot of sales are because people could mod them and create homebrew. Instead of suing these guys they should hire them and learn from them.
    What do you guys think?

    Isn't the fact that they can't play on Xbox Live enough?
