stem problem

  1. so heres the deal two of my plants have a very thin stem right above the soil but the rest of the stem is thicker therefore the thin part is having trouble supporting the plant as it grows does anyone know what is causing this and what i can do to correct it

  2. That usually happens when the plant stays too wet, and develops stem rot. Your best bet would be to transplant it, burying the weak part of the stem under the soil surface. Not only will it help support the plant better, it should eventually develop roots from this location. In the future, keep the soil around your plants moist, not wet, and they should do fine.

  3. Don´t transplant it, just pile soil up so it supports the stem. Make sure it has plenty of light(s).

  4. alright thanks guys the whole light thing is the issue i think its growing under the canopy in my woods its really my only option tho so i will have to make do
