Steam and Win8

    Recently I got a new laptop loaded with windows 8 and I installed Steam and started playing some games. However, recently I just purchased Civ5 and it will not open. I also noticed this problem with company of heros

    Does anyone know a way to remedy steam and windows 8 compatibility issues?

    Does it give you an error message when it won't open a game? What kind of laptop is it also?

    No message. Asus N series.

    I'm running Windows 8 and using steam. All of my games, including Civ V work just fine. In fact, Civ V has touch screen capability with Windows 8. I am still running the release preview, though, and it is running on a custom built desktop.

    You installed and it worked right away? Are there any system changes I need to make?
