Ok, Monsanto is bad because they knowingly poison communities around the world and their own workers, and have done so for decades. They also put small farmers out of business by suing when a crop accidently gets pollinated by their geneticly altered products. That company is scum.

That being said, the rumor that Monsanto bought Fox farm has been around for years. Yet no real evidence other than internet heresay can be found.

  4. so your not sure if they bought them. and if they did will it really make a difference in the product?

  5. Thanks for the clarification for the idiot! He must be high. All I can say is that it actually took place. Prices are being hiked up for the past month. $5 increase on a bog of soil!? WTF! I'm hydro not soil, I just work at a shop.

  6. Don't come here without specifics. So 1 company sues another and you come here using that language. lol Anyway again PEACE

  7. who are you calling an idiot?

  8. use google to do some research. i agree with the OP, monsanto is the devil. who knows what they will do with foxfarms. i'm glad i don't use foxfarms anymore and grow organic

  9. Monsanto took over fox farm? I guess they can't say they are organic anymore can they? sounds hard to believe we need a revolution the gov is attacking the stoner community from the roots, no pun intended....I guess radiated fields for the tobacco industry and Gmo cannabis for the stoners maybe the new gmo cannabis will start killing people and they will blame the weed itself and people will flock to make it illegal sounds like some covert CIA operation or something haha I'm high as balls!

  10. READ!!! not companies farmers... and they poison comunities and thier workers, good enough excuse for bad language stop trolling...

  11. so is should i really quit buying fox farms nutes? i having trouble believing i should quit buying them

  12. Not a shred of news on this on the internet anywhere. Until I see a confirming story, I have to call this BUNK!

Yes, Monsanto is the devil, and Fox Farms is shit anyways. They deserve each other.

  13. This is the most recent post I can find about the Monsanto/Foxfarm rumor, and it's still just a forum post HOWEVER the OP actually went ahead and contacted FoxFarm to verify.

From (RIU) RE: Fox Farms Owned by Monsanto?

" Emailed Fox Farms asking cause I couldn't get anything definite online, here's the response.

TLDR: They're not owned by Monsanto. I like FF and think it's bullshit people are saying this about them cause from what I can tell, they're an awesome company with a great product and treats the environment with the respect it deserves. Which can not be said about Monsanto.

    (And the reply from FoxFarm)

    Hello ****,

Thanks for contacting FoxFarm with your concern. The rumors you are referring to are simply that – just rumors. Basically, Scott's published a statement several months ago that they were interested in buying small soil and fertilizer companies that focus on hydro stores and independently-owned garden centers.

This allows Scott's to enter a market that normally they wouldn't be accepted in. FoxFarm happens to be a company that sells exclusively to both hydro stores and independently-owned garden centers.

So, when this article came out, we became a target
    .

We know that there are rumors circulating that we are one of the companies that Scott's is buying, essentially tarnishing our reputation as a small, family-run business and giving our competition an extra foot in the door to market their products. As I said, these are all just rumors; FoxFarm has not sold to nor has any plans to sell to Scott's, Monsanto, or anyone. We will continue to make the highest quality soils and fertilizers available, and we will continue to be a small, family-run operation.

Thanks again for your concern and interest in FoxFarm. Please let us know if we can help in any other way. Have a great day!

I'm not saying that it is 'absolutely' one way, or the other... it just may be a good idea to contact them directly. :)

  14. thanks for qlarifying so basically this is thread is bullshit

  15. Clarifying is always good but "fox farms sells exclusively to hydro shops and garden centers" and wall mart... you can Site To Store FF nutrients at wal mart, not that that is a bad thing. Quite helpful for people too paranoid for hydro stores or online.

  16. So why is our sales rep for FF telling this to us at the shop? Why have prices been hiked up recently? Why are other shop employees posting the same shit about their sales reps? Big money can cover big secrets! Did you know that the Rockefeller's own large percentages in every oil company, even though the government went after them for monopoly? Politics are twisted!

  17. Besides, FF is shitty ass soil anyways! They're soils are full of fucking bugs! Trust me, I hear about it all the time.

  18. ^I don't know if you're going to get a lot of traction around here with this -- many, many folks on hear swear by FF.

Besides, if it was already bullcrap, why would Monsanto buying them out suddenly warrant this reaction? If you think it's crap then say so, say why, and then who owns the company would be irrelevant.

Never had a problem with bugs personally. Only bought about twenty bags or so though over the past couple of years, guess I am just lucky.

  20. I originally started growing in soil, and with FF. I can only go off of how many people who buy FF, also by nematodes. I have truly heard that FF was purchased by Monsanto. I truly could careless about FF. I just thought I would bring it up. Also, about FF being crap and bug filled, I can only go off of what customers who buy it tell me. I congratulate anyone that does well with something, whether that be FF or something else.
