Starting a Medical Marijuana Shop

Discussion in 'Medical Marijuana Usage and Applications' started by get5007, Oct 29, 2007.

  1. Me and my buddy want to move out to california out of college and start a medical marijuana shop. Does anyone know how long the license takes to get and if it is even possible. Are stores state run or private?

  2. i think it actually breaks down to county in cali, don't quote me though.

  3. It can break down even to city ordinance.

  4. It seems as if the federal government doesn't care what the states pass. It seems way to risky to own a shop. Are shop owners protected at all?

  5. I don't think so, not from feds, but then again i wouldn't know.. You need to do alot of research.. Would be so cool to own a shop though :p

  6. Id say its too risky and I think CA State gov is trying to get it so no more clubs can be opened right now untill they regulate. In the meantime their closing them left and right by leaning on landowners and shit and making them evict club runners.

Shit sucks man the club right up the street that I always go to just got their eviction notice last week :( This is a month or so after they got robbed :( :( So, like I said its kinda risky right now. If ur gonna do it do it on the low the word will spread.

  7. Too risky now. They closed that one in Hayward yesterday and that was the biggest pot shop bust yet. They seized the guys's houses, cars, business addresses, 200k in cash, and their pot club.

  8. Get ready for mass amounts of red tape and a waiting line the size of the US-Mexican border. You are going to have to dig deep and work with local government to open a med MJ clinic.

  9. fuck the fed's! they should have to recognize state law

  10. See what we mean by risky man??? Hey can we get more info on these busts, Im too lazy to research right now lol, or some links??

Ur right? So what can we do about it???

I've been thinking along the lines of these dea agents are people just like us, they have families and parents who love them and want to be proud of them. We should be writing letters to newspapers and calling talk shows (etc) focusing on the shameful actions of these men, with the idea of getting their families embarrassed at what their sons are doing. Make the families feel the actions of their sons are bringing shame on the family, which in turn takes from these agents the feeling of belonging that a proud family gives to its members.

This shouldn't just be restricted to the individual dea agents but also to every person who allowed these actions to happen. That's every congressman and every senator who refused to vote against the prohibition, make their families ashamed of them. John Walters, Karen Tandy and the rest of her administrators who made the decision to conduct these actions, let their families know society considers their actions vulgar.

  12. The 10th amendment gives states the right to make their own marijuana laws but since when does the federal government give a damn about the constitution.

  13. It's risky but if you can make it work it works well. My friends brother who graduated last year dropped out of college to start one, and he made a lot of money and bought a big house with a couple guys about a year ago.

  14. Not to mention there's only three federal crimes. piracy on the high seas, counterfeiting, and treason... but of course, since when does the federal government care.

  15. If you are gonna move anyway, move to Canada and really start a MJ business...

    Maybe that's just my fantasy...

  16. Hopefully by the time your done with college, there will be someone new in the whitehouse that will keep the DEA out of our fucking buisiness.
