Sup GC So I realize that hip-hop often gets a bad rap for having lyrics promote meaningless and material values over and over. This is valid to some extent - diluted, mass-catering, corporate pop music. However there is a vast reservoir of amazingly spiritual, wise and beautiful hip-hop songs and artists as well. Listening to these songs, one can learn a LOT! Especially This is one of my favorite spiritual hip-hop songs of all time, by one of my favorite artists of all time from one of my favorite spiritual albums of all time - the song "US" by PEP LOVE off the Ascension album. This stuff is just PROFOUND - I love it, and the flow/execution/music is masterclass. This is hip-hop in its highest incarnation in my opinion - upliftment truth music, like Bob Marley.
