Sound proofing a Closet

  1. Any one have a few simple idea's that will work
    my rooms unfinished just bare drywall right now the closets 42x29x79"
    5/8's drywall on each side of the studs

  3. Build a Box around it and through some towels in it.

    i cant do that with my squirrel fans :(
     
  4. There's a product called Homosote which is similar to cork board and can be found at Lowes or Home Depot. It comes in sheets 4x8' for around $13 bucks. Google sound proofing and Homosote and you'll get a better idea of what it's made of. I think I may have to go this route as I need my closet silent.
     
  5. haha after posting this i put my 2x1x5 feet wardrobe in the closet pluged er in a little noticable but ima just shove a bunch of clothes in there hang them on the wall ect.
    the stack a bunch of boxes in there and hopefuly 0 noise but ima google that to see how good it is
     
  6. i use car sound proofing sheets. about 12 square foot for $40 plus shipping online
     
  7. Go old school, nail up egg cartons
