Bought 12 quarts of fox farm soil. After putting it in the pot I don't know if it's going to be enoughf. The grow space is pretty small (about 2 feet wide by 3 1/2 tall) but I still don't thing it will be enoughf. Can I just mix in a few quarts of dirt from the ground? Can't really buy potting soil this time of the year and really don't want to order another package. What do I do ?
You should be able to find some kind of potting soil this time of year -- not a great selection, but something. Just don't get anything with time-released ferts in it. If not then cut it with perlite or some composted material, don't use "dirt" from outside.
