Depends how you want to wire things. You could just get an adapter and plug it into a power strip or you could get a socket with bare wires exposed and wire it up to an extension cord with the end chopped off. Those are just two things I've done. Hope this helps.
Thanks. But how would wattage work? Say I'm using CFLs, and I want 6x 26 watt (100 watt equiv) bulbs total. Do I split a socket that I would normally put one 26/100 watt bulb in, or do I add up the wattages?
I've seen 4 26w CFLs in one socket with three splitters. It's definitely possible just make sure you keep the power ratings in mind, they will show you the ratings at the hard ware store. Not sure off hand what the rating of the splitters are rated at so you'd have to check that when you get to the store.
