I like the way your thinking at least somewhere where its low key and not every1 has on there targets on, trust me if we had a poll of who wanted to move to amsterdam on this forum i bet we get close to 100 percent, but for some ppl like me its not realistic. Hell i just be happy to make a trip down there. If they draft, I wouldn't even try or care, nor am I really qualified being an everyday pothead at 6'4 280lbs, my endurance would be the worst, yes drafting would be bullshit, its time we send those politicians to do some of this fighting instead of our citizens and if they drafted me lets hope that failed drug test gets us dismissed. When you draft, its not even a good idea for the quality of your team, it would only make our army weaker brining in ppl who dont even want to be there.

Damn, you guys need to CHILL. There WON'T be a draft. There is a SURPLUS of people in the NAVY, AIRFORCE, And Marines are pretty full. The army be wanting people. Since I'm going willingly into the airforce October 2nd, Here's some TRUE facts, not the media's bullshit: They're pulling people from other branches. They'll bribe you with bonuses, or just flat out make you switch branches. You'll still have the same job equivilent in the other branch. Lately they've been using airforce guys, and this allows some GI's in Iraq to get out. The average replacement spends 6months-2 years in Iraq. The military is getting so popular, it's like fighting to get into college. They take the creme de la crop first. The rest just wait their turn. (un)fortunatly, I happen to be in the top 10% of those recruited from NJ. So we'll see how it goes. All of the jobs I listed included intelligence jobs, and nuclear weapons. So it's safe to say I won't see any frontline action. ALSO, anyone with a "combat" job can be put into the army infantry. The army will give them some cash. Then they finish up their remaining military time in their original branch. That's how my recruiter, and several men in the Airforce I know explained it to me. I'd believe them over the media. People need to chill the fuck out, and stop bitching about the draft. It's NOT going to happen. Not anytime soon. I'm not saying I agree with the draft, Just it's so unlikely to happen.
There will be no draft... at least not for the war in Iran. Maybe if they try to engineer WWIII with Red China... but I don't see how they're gonna trick us into that one. The best excuse Military leaders and Politicians have about Americans dying overseas is, "They signed up for this." The only reason they got out of Vietnam because too many middle-class kids were being drafted and forced to fight... the Government finally realized that they could not trick even a 1960's America into blindly fighting their war.
