  1. 'Erdogan's bodyguards' in violent clash with protesters in Washington DC

WASHINGTON — Supporters of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan of Turkey, including his government security forces and several armed individuals, violently charged a group of protesters outside the Turkish ambassador’s residence here on Tuesday night in what the police characterized as “a brutal attack.”

Eleven people were injured, including a police officer, and nine were taken to a hospital, the Metropolitan Police chief, Peter Newsham, said at a news conference on Wednesday. Two Secret Service agents were also assaulted in the melee, according to a federal law enforcement official.

The State Department condemned the attack as an assault on free speech and warned Turkey that the action would not be tolerated. “We are communicating our concern to the Turkish government in the strongest possible terms,” said Heather Nauert, a State Department spokeswoman.

A group of Republican lawmakers went a step further, calling the episode an “affront to the United States” and calling for Turkey to apologize.

Yeah Erdogan is one of the biggest douches in all of Turkey's history. I lived in the capital city, Ankara (2002- 2005&2011-2014)during his term. Most Turks hate his guts including his own military who've thrown multiple coups against him. Shit, he's a big factor in most civilian Americans being evac'd from our bases in Turkey. Under his "leadership" the US embassy was bombed, Americans had to have armed escorts, even the american school children. During his time US installations in Turkey were mainly at FPCON Bravo(you might be fucked), Charlie(probably fucked), or Delta(Someones fucked big time). He even brought out tanks to scare poor Turkish rioters, if there's one person in this world I'm absolutely sure is a cunt, it's Erdogan

  3. Fuck these rats. I'm pretty sure Erdogan himself ordered his bodyguards to attack the protesters. There's a video that looks very damaging. We should send their ambassador home and boot them from NATO.

  6. What does this look like to you? To me, it looks like the Turkish president ordered his bodyguards to attack the protesters. This type of thuggish behavior should not be taken lightly.

  8. I already have very strong, negative opinions about Erdogan and the Turkish government as a whole. This only strengthens my opinion that they are nothing more than thugs in suits and should be treated as such. Fuck them. Deport the ambassador, cancel their diplomatic immunity, and boot them out of NATO. This is no way for an "ally" to act. That's another level of disrespect.

Turks play a HUGE role in NATO, kicking them out would mean their military has no NATO or US support to combat islamic extremists or stop the surge of radicals into Europe, and subsequently, the US. The vid shows Erdogan's arrogance and stupidity, like who tf would think they could get away with shit like that ON American soil, you are right there. But Turkey is the most westernized country in the middle east/asia mior. I worked at S.H.A.P.E, Belgium (NATO military base) less than a year ago and still hold the ID card to prove it lol. And the Turks there despise him, he's hated by about 70% and probably more of his own military. He's using the most recent coup to try and take FULL power, you guys keep acting like Trump's a new hitler all the while here's literally the world's new hitler. 265-300+ Brave members of Turkish Armed Forces lost their lives in the 2016 coup d'etat against Erdogan's corruption, he's even spreading bs rumors that we tried to assassinate him on the same night as the coup and that US intelligence was behind the coup. Because of him we had to move 50 NUCLEAR weapons from Incirlik Airbase to Romania. Fuck kicking Turkey out we need to kick out Erdogan, his son has an oil field in coalition with ISIS like WTF why isn't anyone noticing that? I'm not even kidding , go to google and type in "erdogan son isis oil".

  10. I already know about that. Turkey is no friend of ours. They are not needed to deal with Islamic radicals. It is Turkey that allows Islamists to cross into Turkey and eventually into Europe. Erdogan is essentially a dictator now. This kind of leader should not be in NATO. Turkey itself is turning more towards an Islamist country rather than a secular democracy. There is no reason to keep them in the alliance.

  11. Where were all the trigger happy US cops?

There was a protest against Erdogan and a counter protest taking place. It was obvious this could get ugly but the US police are invisible.

  12. Protecting your cell is one thing, fighting protesters 50 yards away from your cell makes you an asshole.

  13. Guess I'm the only one that gets a kick outta this, they should invite this squad to some Westboro protests.

  14. Fuck that shit. Erdogan and his thugs were guests in our country and this is how they act? That's disrespectful as fuck. If this is how they treat protesters in our country, just imagine how they treat protesters in Turkey. This is fucked up on so many levels.

Also, Westboro is a huge piece of shit but I'm not down with people suppressing their freedom of speech just because we don't like what they have to say.

  15. Because people in general that travel abroad are Always give their utmost respect toward that country...

Life is fucked up. I bet little kids in Africa would've given their left middle toe to get their asses kicked in a protest, just to have our "medical benefits."

And you should be down with it dawg, there's many other reasons they could be protesting that would clean up their own backyard before they complain about the neighbors.

  16. Yeah you're one of the few who seems to agree with me that "well they are assholes" isn't sufficient justification to silence people.

Yeah Turkey is a bit of a problem because we are militarily involved with them so giving them the complete middle finger is a bit tough despite all the abuses.

  17. How severely unprofessional to step outside of their jobs responsibilities, especially with such a responsibility at task.
Video proof of their dipshitty ways should lead to their termination immediately.

  18. This is not a case of some random travelers who were acting out. These were the bodyguards for the Turkish president. Imagine if people were protesting in front of the US embassy in Turkey and the Secret Service started attacking the protesters unprovoked. As an American, I would have a huge problem with that. These fucks were guests in our country, I expect the utmost respect out of these thugs, especially given we are NATO allies. There is no justifying this shit.

  19. Ban those involved from ever entering the US, deport the Turkish ambassador, remove them from NATO. That's what I would like to see. I am certain the Turkish president himself ordered his bodyguards to attack the protesters.

  20. Honestly, the same thing I did when we found out they were getting hookers abroad, #imsurprised...

It doesn't matter what their "title" is, bodyguard, pope, janitor, amazonian, etc. They're still humans, and will act as humans do.
