i would like to know if any of you have finally given up on the mccain as being a halfway competent candidate.

is it the fact that he addressed a group of supporters as "my fellow prisoners" ?

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0mBi7d6e5KI

or that his choice for VICE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES has absolutely NO IDEA about what the vice president does? (where as a stoner who barely got through high school knows at least a vague idea)

(edit: check that out! its a mcCain flag in the background! he changed the american flag to include his initial! he's a DICTATOR!!!")

so my question, i guess, if you haven't decided yet that they are definitely not worth presidency and vice presidency, or you did already indeed vote for them (or plan to), i guess my question is WHY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    your local communist

  2. Why Obama?

You didn't mention one thing about his policy besides a couple old man slip ups and an err that Biden made as well.

    I am not convinced.

  3. No one said Obama but you. Is that your reality-based paranoia creeping in? :p You know I'm just kidding.
    But really...

  4. It's cool, I'm content with Obama.

It'll be an interesting ride. :smoke:

    But this thread is garbage.

  5. well first of all, the old man bumbles aren't necessarily just old man bumbles. to me that's like borderline delusional/senile talk coming from a man who spent at least 5 and a half years of his life in a vietcong POW camp. if you don't think that it does'nt end up fucking with someone's head than i don't beleive you, imagine if you spent 5 years of your life not knowing if your gonna live the next day, or see your family or home, while being tortured and abused, EVERY DAY. i'm sorry but that is obviously gonna play a role in what he does.

now, about obama, i can at least say that he is going to tax the rich more and try to give tax breaks to the lower income people. now stop me if i'm wrong, but i don't think you make over a qaurter million dollars a year, so with obama in office you should see an improvement as far as taxes go. he is also involved with how we are going to solve this economic crisis and was against the 700 billion dollar bailout and did his best to stop it.

i at least feel that he is

    A. the better choice out of the only 2 reasonable outcomes

    B. he might, actually, i dont know, maybe, DO A DECENT JOB

    C. definitley, definitely, DEFINITELY, can't be bad as george bush

and if you people think that mccain isn't going to be bush's third term, your right, but it will about 90% of it!

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uThoBMfcFRc&feature=related

i want to know from hard righties, who will go to the ends of the earth with john mccain and sarah palin, why they are so loyal to such a sorry couple of candidates who are obviously being thrown under the bus by the republican party after bush's shenanagens.

  6. well, my friend, you just earned a fuck you in my book. so, fuck you!

    disrespect earns disrespect.

  7. i'll just answer this for the neocons and get this thread over with

because obama is a liberal commie socialist terrorist muslim with the middle name HUSSEIN who is a threat worth keeping out of office by voting for McCain

  8. Heres a video in which McCain says with a straight face he always aspires to be a dictator. Remember when bush said similar comments?

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rvqAYW3AV0g

Im not voting this year ( im 19 and this is the first presidential vote i get to have and im saying fuck it ). I made up a little rap to go along with it :

"fuck a mccain and fuck an obama they can both go slob on my knobba"

I'd only wanna vote on that weed decriminalization bill in massachussetts but I dont even live there. I didnt even register. I wanted Ron Paul.

  9. Hey guess what? look up at the section this is posted underneath. seems like a reasonable enough thread for this section.

  10. ya, and it's quite sad to see people vote for such terrible people because they just CANNOT stand to see a BLACK MAN in office. damn doesn't that suck. i'm not even black and i can still see that's wrong, isn't that just peculiar?

  11. what did he do to stop it?

If he was against it why did he vote for it?

Your going to vote for someone who sides with Bush and McCain on something he is against?

  12. If everyone who said "fuck it" actually got off their asses and voted for a 3rd party candidate we might actually have someone with a chance to support.

There's more than two parties people.

that does suck.. it's sad that people vote based on race without knowing what the candidate even stands for.

  14. hey man, i dont give a fuck if you vote for ron paul, write his ass in, but you just gotta vote man that's just another right your giving back to this country saying "fuck it". think about it next time.

  15. You already amended your thread and made an actual argument. It is no longer garbage but worthy of analysis.

Oh, there is no doubt McCain is insane. He has many symptoms of PTSD.

With Obama or McCain the smaller people will see an improvement in taxes... according to their campaign promises. But Obama's taxes on the wealthy producers of our economy will slow down the markets, which is the last thing we want in our economy.

With increases in corporate and capital gains taxes investments will stagnate and either wages will be cut or prices will be raised.

I was under the impression he supported the bailout the entire way. Correct me if I'm wrong though. What is Obama's plan to 'jump-start' the economy and create new jobs? By sending them overseas to lower taxed countries?

I respect your choice to vote for him, I'll give you that he is most likely the lesser of two evils in foreign policy. For economy, McCain will likely do the least harm.

  16. I wasn't arguing that it wasn't political, but that the OP presented nothing substantial against McCain or for Obama, only cheap shot smears which can easily be provided for Biden/Obama.

And if you want to get technical, there is a 2008 Presidential Election subforum, where this should be.

  17. he wasnt able to stop it, but at least delayed it trying to get it changed. i dont know much more about it, stories like that rarely get reported on. isn't that odd.

all i know is, and all i'm trying to say is that we need a step in the right direction. i am about 98% sure that obama will be AT THE VERY LEAST a step in the right direction. and if that still doesnt work than we have got to admit something is SERIOUSLY fucked up and change the government to better work for the people. i can't remember who exactly said this, but it was either hobbes or paine, one of those major philosophists who our founding fathers based the goals of our country on, who said (paraphrasing) "when the government stops working for the people, it is the people's duty to remake the government so it becomes democratic and working for THE PEOPLE again" (come to think of it now, i beleive that was the "social contract", i still cant remember who exactly wrote it, but it is DEFINITELY a very important apsect to our government).

so we have to face it, folks, Barack Obama is america's last hope. plain and simple.

    peace.

  18. well to be honest i think that blatantly calling a crowd of your supporters "prisoners" without catching yourself, or not knowing the job description for the second most important job of the united states, are both pretty substantial. and i think if you are doing something to yourself it is not "smear" campaign. i would be less likely to accuse the people of such incompitence if their wasn't substantial evidence you can find by just looking on the internet. the fact is that john mccain has proven that through his decisions in the past and present that he is not compentent, let alone mentally stable enough, to be our president, even his choice of sarah palin ALONE showed his bad decision making.

like i said, obama is our last hope, i mean i could be hear all night showing how mccain is bad and obama is good, but i am going to bed now. peace and hopefully this will at least shed a little more insight on someone thinking of voting mccain, and to have them just at least think twice about wht they are really doing.

  19. perhaps, although calling someone's thread "garbage" is a bit on the extreme side, no?
