Gonna be setting a new room up soon thinking of running x2 1000w hps digital ballasts parabolic reflectors and doing between 20 and 24 plants possibility of running a 8 to 10 pot rdwc system no real budget on this tho i wont be biying 1500 quid led lights lol any one any heads up for equipment cheap or anything helpful shout out Sent from my SM-G928F using Tapatalk
I use to run 2 1000 yield lab hps lights. I've used hps for many years and this grow had a power problem and was forced to go led. Hps is powerful and there is no doubt, used them for over 10 years. However there are some draw backs. Heat being the major one. It took me qty 2 vortex 747 blowers hooked inline to each light and exhausted out of room to keep my temps in the 70s. But ya they do grow some serious plants. Now this grow I have 13 ladies under qty 3 hisdard 1000 watt LED. Actual watts much less. But watts don't mean dick with led. U have to look at the spectrum and spectrum output comparred to the hps.to replace my 2 1000s I went with 3 of the LEDs to flower a 5x6 area. I attached some pics. The lights are doing fine and my temps are into 60s. Much easier to control temps with led. From a hps grower I have to say LEDs can hold there own but it takes more of them to match up to the power of hps. This grow I'm doing a reveg. These plants were flowered , chopped , put back into veg to recover and are now 3 days into flower again.
