Self watering pots made into hempys

  1. Anyone ever makeshift a self watering pot to be a hempy. I haven't seen it and thought i'd share mine. I thought it would be a good idea to have easy access to the reservoir to see what's happening in there as far as ph, ppm and know how much is left in there. I must say however, I'm pretty sure there is more water evaporation in my situation since more surface area of the water is exposed to air. I'm not worried about algae growing on the hydroton. The hydroton that I can see in the res is usually dry within a few hours as the water level has dropped. And thankfully the hydroton also blocks light from reaching any roots in there. I like that they can look like nice flower pots instead of a basic black bucket. Not saying that anything is wrong with buckets (they work great). Thanks for reading and I'm definitely looking forward to input and ideas.[IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]
