Seeds?

  1. My buddy harvested a while back and as we have been smoking we have found an occasional seed. How is this?? There were no males present all 6 plants were female..... Any idea why or how seeds got in the buds? Maybe fem'd seeds? That'd be nice huh?? :D

  2. One of the plants could've been a hermi

  3. chances are they hermied like coca said, and if they hermied due to stress then they are more than likely female, if it was a genetic herm, them seeds are prolly herm too.

  4. Even if they were pollinated by a hermie caused by stress (rather than genetics) then the seeds are more likely to be hermie.

But...some strains when left unpollinated can develop a few seeds late in flowering. It's a survival technique, the plant being unpollinated and reaching the end of its life will spawn a few seeds as a last-ditch effort to pass on its genes. If they are viable seeds then they are essentially "clones" of the mother and thus feminized.

Is there a way to make it produce seeds without pollination? Or is it just a freak of nature type thing like you said, a last ditch effort.

  6. did all the plants finish and start flowering together? Toward the end when buds ripen a lot will grow bananas..if yoy had a plant almost done and others starting you could accidentaly pollenate...
Also very early on there could have been a male flower that got opened and it was really early so there werent enough hairs yet to really seed it up...or maybe you had a male before and forgot to clean the fan or wall or whatever? If it was a female that pollenated another female youll end up with femenized seeds.

  7. It's kind of a lucky chance if you can cause the plant to self pollinate, it'll ussually only happen under a stressful enviornment. So if you try to cause it to self pollinate, you could over stress your plant and cause it to give up:eek:

  8. This is his first grow and all plants were started at the same time and all were female, hopefully it self pollinated and had fem seeds :) here's a pic of the plant they came from
