Seedling stem length to long

Discussion in 'First Time Marijuana Growers' started by Growtent29274, Jan 2, 2020.

  1. Hey like the title says, my stems on my 2-3 week old seedlings are to long due to I believe my light being to far away. They began to droop over due to the stem being to thin, so I propped them up with chopsticks. For the most part they can stand on their own now but I still keep the sticks in just in case

My question: can I kind of bury alittle of the stem when I transplant into the final pots so that maybe that’ll give it alittle more support or would that kill or suffocate it some?? Is there something else I should be doing?

  2. Hell yes burry that long stem when transplanting

  3. Sweet thanks

  4. Yeah, they behave like tomatoes when replanting, if you're familiar: they'll grow additional roots so long as the stem is still pubescent. Don't bury them deeper than the cotyledons, tho.
