Seedling start

I personally go about a half inch deep. Some people go past an inch and some people just barely cover the seed with soil.

Just stick the eraser of a pencil down into the medium until the brass part is covered, then plop in your seed, and cover. It'll grow, more than likely.

 

1/2 inch or so.

 

i go 3/4" deep and keep lights on 24/0 up to 3 days after they sprout then switch light cycles
