I’m doing inthegardens beginner grow guide. What should I start my plants out with ? Like before I transfer them into the organic soil mix. I have peat moss,ewc,manure,rock dust, alalfa meal for now and awaiting the rest in the mail. Could I just use peat moss, ewc & perlite? Just a noob still
*DISCLAIMER* I am by no means an experienced grower, but I have done a shitload of research. You don't need feed the seedlings for about the first two weeks or so. Especially the alfalfa meal, that is way too much nitrogen for your baby plants. I'm not familiar with the grow guide you are referring to, but do about 50/50 perlite and peat moss with maybe a little bit of ewc thrown in and you should be fine for the first week or two.
Just use something like 1 or 2 parts peat to 1 part perlite. To each gallon, add 1 Tablespoon lime. Wet with aloe water, for best results. You can add some ewc if wanted. keep it simple, well aerated, and not nutritionally hot cheers os
My issues with seedlings was always under/over watering. Word to the wise: Better to under than over. Easier fix
