Sealing up cracks around grow box door

  1. I put the door on my grow box today
everything looks good except there are alot of small cracks around the door
since they are around the door i don't think i can use caulk
what have you guys used? weather striping?

  2. Yep, weather stripping is the way to go.
I haven't built my box yet but I plan on using 3/16x3/8 weatherstrip around the inside edges of the doors.
What I haven't figured out is if there's a difference between types of weatherstripping. I've seen foam rubber, closed cell foam, open cell foam, PVC etc...
My guess is that whatever's cheaper will work fine.

  3. If you can get close cell foam, that's what I would go with. That way you don't have to worry about it absorbing the occasional spilled water and getting nasty.

Not sure that's a huge concern, but one less thing to worry about...

  4. I imagine this stuff is pretty cheap, and it works
am i right on both of these?

  5. That is exacly what i had in mind
    Thanks a ton
