Are there any low wattage HPS bulbs that you can use in regular sockets? Or do all HID lights have to have a ballast?
I've never heard of HID that could go straight to a "regular" socket, all need a ballast to my knowledge.
They make hps bulbs that have a medium socket base (same as normal floro bulbs), but they still need a ballast.
