Scent masking with plants

  1. I was driving through town the other day (live in GA, btw) with my windows down when I noticed the tell-tale signs of summer. To be specific, the cloying scent of summer flowers. Every ditch and cranny around here is packed with azaleas, sweet olive, honeysuckle, and japanese wisteria.

So I was wondering, a lot of you mention the smell being a dead giveaway. Has anyone had success in using other flowers to mask the scent. Perhaps planting lots of marigolds or sweet olive around their home to disguise a backyard grow or deliberately choosing a wild location overrun by strong scented wildflowers/plants.
