RTS game to get into?

    So I just built a pc (a half decent one too) and want to find a well populated, free or not, rts game that isn't league of legends. I've considered starcfaft, but it seems like there are too many wiz kids...

    Any recommendations?

    starcraft 2 is a gentlemans game , league of legends is not an RTS game. Its a MOBA aka basically just an acrade game for lil kids
     
     
    IF you have never played starcraft though you are in for a few months, maybe years of getting... decent.
     
     
    Civ 5 is a great game.

    Warcraft 3 frozen throne was pretty enjoyable I thought
