Rockwool problem

Discussion in 'Sick Plants and Problems' started by Mr.Sparkle, Sep 21, 2007.

  1. i germinated some widow and blueberry in some rockwool so i could transfer to my hydro ebb n flow system, but the seedlings grew up tall and skinny and are having a hard time supporting themselves, and i cant support them with dirt cuz its hydro, does anybody have any advice?

  2. you need to get net pots. Fill the net pots with (cleaned very well) hydroton, and place the rock woold cubes with rooted plants in the pots. place net pots in ebb in flow top tray.

  3. and put a gentle fan breeze on them all the time -- lots of people use oscillating fans -- just enough to mildly vibrate the whole plant. that way they'll grow thicker stems...

  4. well im growin in an ebb n grow system its a bucket system, how would i put the net cups in there, would i put the net cups with rockwool in the bucket with rockwool?
