Hey guys, I have an unlimited supply of RO water at my disposal and was wondering if it's any good to use on a regular basis to water my plants. My water goes through RO then DI so the TDS is 000, is this ok or should I cut out the DI? Its commercial grade DI Resin, not food grade. I don't know if that makes a difference.
Just be sure that if you use it to water your plants that you will have to supplement calcium and magnesium.
You have a perfect water to start with man. You are lucky. Just use something like magical to supplement the hard nutrients that come in your water standard, and then enjoy having some pimp water at your disposal.
Thanks guys, Decided to try just RO water for a while, maybe use the DI water on just one plant and see the difference. Water from my RO is about 25 ppm. after I added feed it has a ph of 5.8 Quick tip for anyone wanting RO water. Ask you local window cleaner. Nowdays we all use RO water to clean windows with, I filter about 6000 litres every week. I would gladly fill a 25l barrel for anyone who asked.
