Haven't seen the pictures? those people don't look 16 too me.

I still find it astonishing that people can blame one group of people for such terrible actions - in this case "youths". Watch the news, you will see plenty if not the majority of the rioters will be 25+

  4. Rather, just youngish people. 13-25.

Not blaming 'youths' obviously, but assholes who also happen to be in that age range.

edit: how many middle aged people can do flying kicks through glass walls?

since i live right next to all the commotion, its mainly youth 18-23 yr old doing all this.

all the main stores such as JD,Foot-Locker and electrical stores all looted.

i dont agree with the looting and burning down buildings but living in the area i can tell you that the goverment cuts effecting my generation. youth centres are being closed down, uni fees all gone up. all these youth have no job no nothing.

the looters lost the plot and just doing it for free goods but there is a cause to be fought but not this way.

these scums started attacking religous sites for the sake of it. all the Muslims, Sikhs fought back by defending there mosque, temples which led the rioters to run away!

  6. Nah man this shits crazy.
Was gonna go town but Feds were fucking everywheerrrree.

Fucking inbreds setting shit on fire likre pure Wasters

  7. The Brits seem to look down on Americans in the media for their draining of natural resources and waste, but at least the stuff produced in the US is used rather than just destroyed. :p jk We still waste way more than anywhere else, but it's just funny to think about.

  8. Its a good article you should read it. It doesn't really blame "liberal dogma" persay..

  9. 2 Timothy 3:1-4

1 But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. 2 People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, 3 without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, 4 treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God-

It's a shame people are so quick to blame the worlds wrongdoings on religion.

  10. This is in no way a legitimate protest, uprising, revolutionary movement or any form of civil disobedience. This is just a bunch of soccer hooligans and thugs who wanna get their kicks burning and looting stuff. It's like when the Canucks lost to the bruins and they had a bunch of rioting in Vancouver. Brainless hooligans and nothing more. Here's hoping the cops give them some good beatings.

sweet to have a secular event to excuse religion from all the problems it causes, eh?

  12. Almost as good at is to have an escape goat for all the worlds problems, or so I imagine. because the worlds problems arent money and greed.

I'm not religious but have been thinking about going back to church more and more. I'll tell you if I hate Muslims in a year from now or not..

  13. Gave it a read, there's a shitload of assumptions being made all of the way through this article. There's some ridiculous lines aswell

No, it didn't. I've been vocal about damning these riots all the way through but even I think this is a pointlessly inapt metaphor. It then talks about the depressing young people not loyal to Britain who don't watch royal weddings or cricket and all the other assorted shite you'd expect the the daily mail.

Rioters are to blame for riots. Period. People trying to spin this for their political gain are sickening, but we've come to expect no less from this wonderous and objective media source.

I've seen these riots bring out the worst in people, and not just rioters. I've seen calls for fucking nerve gas. Seriously.

  14. Haha, life events spun to effect the way we deal with these same issues in the future. Brilliant.

I think there are reasons the youth are getting restless that's all.

  15. There probably are, but it's more than likely they don't have much to do with single motherhood not being a social faux-pas any more.

  16. The Mail newspaper has one use and one use only...
    Toilet paper...:)

More populist dogma than liberal dogma IMO...
The Labour party in the UK were traditionally seen as a Socialist party..
Blair and Brown played to the masses and tried to please everyone... They were not a Socialist party under their tenure but a watered down piss poor middle of the road please everyone and his dog party...

A spoon fed generation is now feeling the wrath of these policies and is "revolting"...
What is happening in the UK is not revolution though, it is scumbags rioting for the sake of rioting...
True Socialists i am sure are as disgusted at what is occurring as anyone else...
If Comandante Ernesto was alive and well in London today he would be shooting these so called "revolutionaries"...

Cameron and the Conservatives have cut cut cut without thinking of the consequences though...
At this stage it is hard to see how this generation of British (15-25) will find their way and become productive citizens...

As it it says in the OP in years gone by these scumbags would have been cannon fodder...
Today they have no role or future...

please dont go to church. Xtny blows, imo, esp. catholicism. Go be a Sufi Muslim or Study the Kabbalah as a Jew or be a rasta or Buddhist if you're looking for god.

To your other point, no one blames everything on religion. no one blamed the credit downgrade on religion, no one blamed the riots on religion, etc.
Religion is only blamed if it played a direct and important role in the problem, like the Norway bombing. Come on now. No one suggests money and greed aren't causes of problems, either. I don't see your point here.

  18. lib·er·al/ˈlib(ə)rəl/
Adjective: Open to new behavior or opinions and willing to discard traditional values.

I suppose the reason I accept the title is because by definition these wars are liberal. Also the two parent, two job- household is new phenomenon caused by the deterioration of our standard of living because were all working harder for less. It's a general restlessness, its subconscious but its there.
