Regarding tobacco and the industry

  1. Hey guys.

First off, I had no clue where to post this and I'm sorry if this is the wrong forum for it. I've lurked GC for awhile now, but only became a member a little while ago and from what I've gathered it seems as though the majority here oppose tobacco and alcohol. Although I'm not the largest fan of alcohol myself, I must admit that I really do enjoy smoking tobacco once in a while as a compliment to bud. My consumption of tobacco is however incredibly low but despite this I am rather concerned about the health risks associated with it. I've heard from word-of-mouth that it isn't tobacco itself that is particularly bad for you, but rather the additives and the process of production which makes it the most toxic. If this sentiment is true, what would the health concerns be if you grew, harvested and dried your own? Would it be worth it for the casual smoker? Would there even be a noticeable decrease in toxins? Discuss.
