Anyone who has one to keep track of plants... (or for other recreational purposes)... let me know what brand/model you got and how you liked it.. I'm particularly interested in ease of use !! It needs to have a decently adjustable screen backlight (for stealth night use). Full map feature would be nice.... but a simple plotter is fine. I had one of the first handheld GPS available to civilians...more than a decade ago... pretty simplistic compared to the ones today.... it was usually fine if you were in a flat field or out on a lake....but even then, it would some times lose track of the satellites... i'm sure now that the gov't doesnt distort the signals, they are more reliable, and way more accurate...
Magellan.... withiin 15 ft of where you plot your co-ordinates. Pretty easy to use, gets a signal in most any part of the world.
sorry... I haev the trailblazer XL model.... I got it liek two years ago or so.... but I think most of the newer ones have teh same range..... But that's what I got....... and right now Im 15.6 miles from my plants due NE....
