If you're looking for a quality ballast, bulb, and basic a/c reflector you can spend $300, decent exhaust and odor control will run you another $250. The tent looks solid, the ducting is a good price, but no matter what you do that fan won't be strong enough for an HID. I'd also recommend a 6" CAN, Phresh, or Mountain air carbon filter, as they get solid reviews here all the time. Prices are going up constantly on this shit, last time I looked up the hydrofarm reflectors they were $17 cheaper and their Active Air 6" fans have gone up by $20. But yea, you can deck out that tent for anywhere between $250 to $500 or more. I would focus on top-quality ballast and filter, and go with generic on the tent, fan, and bulb. Gotta replace the bulb anyway, might as well keep initial costs down on fractional increases that can be upgraded down the road than to bloat up your budget now. And a tent is a tent, some are better than others but it doesn't influence your yield or quality, it's only function is to act as an enclosure. Same with the fan, it has but one single purpose. IME, generic ballasts fail, 3 of them in my time growing. Maybe not immediately, but eventually they fail and it sucks when they fail halfway through a grow and you have nothing to replace it. Same with generic filters, they don't last very long. Lumatek ballasts come with a 5 year warranty, CAN, Phresh, and Mountain air filters are always getting good reviews here. Those are the two areas where I would not cheap out. If you can afford a hortilux bulb then go for it, that's the next thing I'd upgrade if your budget allows. Cheers!!
