ive been here for quite awhile now, havnt posted much, more like a reader than a writer, but whatev...the reason im writing this is because everytime i go into rec. mj use topic, all i see is SHIT JUST FUCKED! is all i have to say, everytime i come on this site i expect for people to learn that that topic isnt for posting about: other drugs, stories, cigarettes, other bull. now there are some that have their posts in the right category but most of the posts are bull, and im not saying that YOU MODS are not doing your jobs, but come on, i know that there are 4-5 mods that should be deleting posts, i havnt seen ONE (1) DELETED BY RASTA, GREENLANTERN, TOKINBLUE, ONLY BY RMJL. if you are goING to have a mod, please have a mod that does his/her job, and delete the threads that dont belong in the category. OR EVEN MOVE THEM I KNOW YOU ALL HAVE FULL TIME JOBS BUT PLEASE PLEASE SAVE THIS FORUM! thanks, a concerned poster...
I'm not going to comment on a mod's performance because I haven't checked the mod logs lately. I will say that if I get pissed off about anything, it's all of the shit that's misposted in the Recreational Marijuana Use forum. I've started deleting threads that don't belong in there. It's as if no one reads the descriptions for all of the different forums here. We have 22 forums and only 8 of those are strictly dedicated to the growers. There's no reason why people can't just post in the proper forum. Grrr!!! All of you that do post in the correct forums consistently F'N ROCK!!!
I'll second this... I've been mass-moving threads in Rec usage, and you'd figure that that would give people the hint "ok, these threads don't belong here"... But noooooo They just keep showing up It's almost to the point of "Why even bother?"... ALMOST
i have noticed this, too. it might be because of the flow of new members who are obviously not reading the rules, if only there was some kind of punishment that could be dealt or something to remind everybody, but i have noticed lots of new members popping up and its great to see the city grow, but its almost turning into grassghetto.
thank you for replying rMJL, but again i still dont see OTHER mods posting, or deleting. now it has been getting better, but not much. i think we should enforce a 3 strike rule, where if a mod has to correct you, it's one strike. 3 strikes ur out...or temp banned or something to make em learn there lesson, i know this sounds to hard, yea i know but its the only thing i can think of right now. We [mods] usually leave the deleting to the Admins, unless it's something that obviously needs deleting, like porn or the like... Only deleting a message will display who actually did the act. When someone moves a thread, it doesn't state who the mover was (only the Admins can see this via the Moderator Logs), and thus, it doesn't look like any of us lowly mods are doing our jobs (LOL)... Now, I agree we could all be stepping up our game a bit, but there are definitely mods around here who are kicking some ass. Not everything we do around here is seen, and thus, often goes unrecognized... I kinda like it that way - keeps us from getting big-headed EDIT: I know I've personally moved more threads from the Rec. Usage section than I can count...
