  4. You don't have to say it... some "read in to" anything less than full blown praise of "corporate crony, military-industrial complex, corporate welfare state".... i leased my soul to the aforementioned until taking early retirement several years ago...

I too caved in to the "propaganda" that the corporate mentality pumps 24/7... artch hit the nail on the had stating "Americans are very materialistic" but that is an understatement... most have misplaced their soul for the almighty dollar imo... Again, i speak from experience having done that myself for a few decades...

Right away you are labeled a "socialist" or even "communist" by anyone who heavily conditioned by our educational & media systems... i too had to deprogram myself from decades of propaganda.... You won't change anyone's mind here... but it is enlightening to see how conceptual programming can skew perception and priorities...having watched my own change, realize it was inner motivation based on no longer being in denial of the escalating gap in CEO pay vs wages of average workers since 1975 ish...

But mention that and some will accuse you of wanting to take a slice of their pie... lol

  5. I get what you're saying and you're probably correct, there's a certain amount of hypocrisy in my approach here. :)

That said i think there's a difference between Soros and the likes of the Koch's. Soros philanthropy tends to be mainly funding educational programs and activist's who educate/advocate for the downtrodden. The Koch's concentrate on funding groups that advocate for people like themselves - billionaires and corporations, they have no interest in the little man.

  8. Interesting what he said, I'm amoral in business but try to be moral at all other times. I think Soros causes some of his own problems through being too forthright, you'd never here the likes of Zuckerberg say something like that.

I'll always have a soft spot for Soros for shafting the British Central Bank and for what he did for the downtrodden in Apartheid South Africa but i fully agree, he's far from a saint and has done a lot of harm elsewhere.

  9. Globalist George Soros gets a lot of attention recently. In an interview with the British Independent, he admitted that he probably had a "bit" of a Messiah fantasy.

George Soros admits he felt like "some kind of God."
Now in his eighties, he's less worried about keeping his need for control in check, saying instead he "began to live it out." He's certainly put a lot of his ideas into action. Soros supports a variety of liberal and progressive causes and is unafraid to speak out about them.

“I fancied myself as some kind of god …” he wrote. “If truth be known, I carried some rather potent messianic fantasies with me from childhood, which I felt I had to control, otherwise they might get me in trouble.“ When asked by Britain’s Independent newspaper to elaborate on that statement, Soros doubled down: “It is a sort of disease when you consider yourself some kind of god, the creator of everything, but I feel comfortable about it now since I began to live it out.“

If you skip to 11:28 of above video it shows a little more of his quote.... trying to find original vid still

  10. I can't believe the koch brothers and soros are even spoken of in the same breath. One uses their money to fed poor kids and the other to destroy the environment.

  12. btw i dont think Soros is a Nazi lol. And i do admire him for going against the machine. But I do think he is evil and has little regard for human life or suffering outside of his own family.

    George Soros
Billionaire George Soros has quietly invested $62 million in the purchase of more than 2 million shares of Halliburton, the major government contractor criticized by his own Open Society Institute and the activist group he funds, MoveOn.org

  14. Just so you know what happen since im sure you wont study up on it. Soros through the open society institute which he owns funded moveOn.org to attack halliburton plummeting its stock. He then swooped in and bought stock when it was low knowing it was artificially driven, manipulated by him and would soar back because of the war contracts. He made millions off of this. again watch from bookmark

  15. I get what you mean and I feel lucky being able to make a living doing what I enjoy. I've done my fair share of shit work and by far the worse job was working in an aluminum smelter. There was no future for me there and I never went back after the first lunch break.

  16. I know hes rich and a scum bag but at least he uses some of his money for good. Do the koch brothers use a cent of there money for a good cause. Cause ya right i aint studying up on it. I wonder how much of Halliburton he got for 62million. Probably less than 3%

  18. One of the Koch brothers makes financial contributions to PBS science programming. Maybe it's NOVA or that other one. There's a motive, I'm sure of it.
