  1. I don't know Svedka, I'm not sure what you mean by them being more or less hypocritical. Religious leaders are professional brain washers, they remind me of those alien body snatchers. When they spot someone who hasn't yet been brainwashed they scream and point and try to bring in some peer pressure. They are totally biased and I don't think it's possible to put biases aside and be purely objective. Here we have 5 preachers and 2 retired judges saying Trump is too immoral to sell liquor. Why should we care?

  2. I'm not "caring" what they say or think... what part of my post "the Sunday funnies on a Saturday" did you take as serious?

But since you replied with the subject of clergy being hypocrites (no contest i agree) let us walk back a bit, you know like the "stable genius" does several times per week... i assume that in order to obtain & maintain a liquor license one has to have a background check... btw when 45 applied for the casino license they didn't know about his connections to a mob guy or he would have been denied... last year i posted a video including all of the details of it, but i digress...

Talk about hypocritical, 45 is the King of it... like his saying he would be too busy working to spend time at his resorts and couldn't be playing golf on weekends like Obama as he would bee working, blah blah blah... then he adds 3 BELIEVE ME's to seal the deal in their dumbed down hypnotized minds... that is just one of dozens in not hundreds or items that is now coming back to haunt him... i just read that even the Hillary Haters, those who were part of Never Hillary are beginning to jump from the so called Trump Train... everyone reaches a point when they get tired of the eye & facial twitches and realize they have been sold a bag of not only bad, but rotten goods... others of us recognized what he and his reality TV agenda was early on not taken in by it in the least...

The post was put up as a bit of humor and also it's rare that i see anyone from the religious segment stepping up and calling the twit out on his lies and deceit...

  3. Top Koch Network officials vent frustration with White House, GOP-led Congress

BY JONATHAN EASLEY - 07/28/18 06:12 PM EDT

COLORADO SPRINGS -- Senior officials from the group of networks affiliated with billionaire conservative businessman Charles Koch are expressing deep frustration with President Trump and the Republican-controlled Congress, even as they spend heavily to elect Republicans and promote conservative causes ahead of the midterm elections.

From trade to immigration and spending, top Koch Network strategists, who briefed reporters at a five-star resort in Colorado Springs for the group’s biannual seminar, outlined the areas from which they believe the Trump administration and GOP Congress have gone astray. They’re also frustrated by what they view as the “divisiveness” of the Trump administration — something officials say is complicating lawmakers' ability to find areas of compromise.

“The divisiveness of this White House is causing long-term damage,” said Brian Hooks, president of The Charles Koch Foundation. “When in order to win on an issue, someone else has to lose, it makes it very difficult to unite and solve the problems of this country.”

“When we say there’s a lack of leadership … I’d include the White House and a number of politicians who are following that lead,” Hooks continued. “There’s a need for someone to step up and show people it’s possible to achieve things when you unite people together … rather than divide them.”

  5. From Twitter this morning...

Charles Blow to Trump: "There's no such thing as fake news."
    @CharlesMBlow
There’s no such thing as fake news. If something is false it doesn’t get printed. If something false slips through, it gets corrected. There is NO SUCH THING as fake news. You label unflattering news fake, but the news about you is horrible because you live your life horribly.

  6. Well that went well for Trump:

Canada will join Mexico and European and Asian auto-producing countries this week to plot strategy ahead of the potential imposition of tariffs on vehicles and auto parts exported to the United States.

Japan and the European Union organized the meeting for Tuesday in Geneva, where vice and deputy ministers from Canada, the EU, Japan and South Korea will gather to talk about the punishing levies threatened by U.S. President Donald Trump.

A Canadian government official told The Canadian Press on Sunday that deputy international trade minister Timothy Sargent would attend the meeting on Canada's behalf.

Trump has threatened to impose tariffs under Section 232 of the decades-old U.S. Trade Expansion Act. The legislation allows the president, under certain circumstances, to impose duties recommended by his commerce secretary under the notion that the goods being imported are a threat to national security.

  14. Not much activity here and several deleted posts so here goes one, tweet from Jim Acosta 8/1/18 and i could not agree more... Same goes for Alex Jones and the other crack pots on youtube, radical right radio and of course FAUX News.

"Hannity is a propagandist for profit, peddling lies every night. He says he’s just a talk show host, not a journalist. But he’s injecting poison into the nation’s political bloodstream warping public attitudes about the press. I’m confident in the long run the truth will prevail."

  17. Timely article considering what is planned in DC this weekend by haters...
    /////

Don’t call all American white supremacists “Nazis.” Their ideology of hate is homegrown.
Using the term distances us from our history and reality.

“Nazi” feels like a foreign import, something that was defeated long ago. But the white supremacy that descended on Charlottesville — and that has a sequel rally planned for this weekend, in Washington, DC — is not some distant threat. It’s a homegrown ideology, and it’s one that we are far from defeating."

(much much more at link, it's a long azz read, wouldn't want to offend anyone by posting it in it's entirety)

  19. Space Force sounds like it's from a cartoon. Perhaps we do need a space defense related organization but let the Air Force handle it.

  20. At noon Sunday Aug. 12th in DC "unite the right" are set to demonstrate again as they did in Charlottesville last year and why i am posting this list of rebel rousing statements from over 2 years ago for those in denial or having selective memory...

these quotes going back to February of 2016 some 9 months and many rallies prior to the election... no doubt many liked what they heard, voted for him and continue to support his encouragement to get violent... such as "knock the crap out of them" and many others... all on tape. How can his approval of punching them out not given license to violence in the minds of the already disgruntled?
I want to go on record to state that i do not watch or care to watch Maddow but suffered through the video to refresh my memory.

    • February 1 in Iowa: "If you see somebody getting ready to throw a tomato, knock the crap out of them, would you? Seriously. Okay? Just knock the hell. I promise you I will pay for the legal fees. I promise."
    • February 22 in Nevada: "I love the old days. You know what they used to do to guys like that when they were in a place like this? They'd be carried out on a stretcher, folks. It's true. … I'd like to punch him in the face, I'll tell you."
    • February 26 in Oklahoma: "In the good old days, they'd rip him out of that seat so fast. But today, everybody's politically correct. Our country's going to hell with being politically correct."
    • February 29 in Virginia: "Get him out of here please. Get him out. Get him out. … Are you from Mexico? Are you from Mexico? Huh? Are you from Mexico?"
    • March 4 in Michigan: "Get out of here. Get out. Out! … This is amazing. So much fun. I love it. I love it. We having a good time? USA, USA, USA! … All right, get him out. Try not to hurt him. If you do, I'll defend you in court. Don't worry about it. … We had four guys, they jumped on him, they were swinging and swinging. The next day, we got killed in the press — that we were too rough. Give me a break. You know? Right? We don't want to be too politically correct anymore. Right, folks?"
    • March 4 in Michigan: "Remember when Bernie Sanders, they took the mic away from him? That's not going to happen with us, folks. That's not going to happen. Remember that? He walked away from the mic and he stood back and he watched these two young girls talking to the audience. And they said, 'We came to listen to him!' And he was standing in the back as two women took the mic away. No, that doesn't happen to us. Get that guy out of here! Get him out! Get that guy out of here!"
    • March 9 in North Carolina: "We had some people, some rough guys like we have right in here. And they started punching back. It was a beautiful thing. I mean, they started punching back. … In the good old days, this doesn't happen because they used to treat them very, very rough. And when they protested once, you know, they would not do it again so easily. But today, they walk in and they put their hand up and put the wrong finger in the air at everybody, and they get away with murder, because we've become weak."
    • March 11 in Missouri, hours before the Chicago rally: "Part of the problem and part of the reason it takes so long is nobody wants to hurt each other anymore. Right? And they're being politically correct the way they take them out. So it takes a little bit longer. And honestly, protesters, they realize it — they realize that there are no consequences to protesting anymore. There used to be consequences. There are none anymore."
Trump's message in all these incidents is clear: Supporters should rough up protesters.
