I have recently gotten back to growing and I decided to try a different medium this time(Coco coir), as well as potting them outdoors. I prefer the sunlight. But I am curious if I should have a back up plan of combat should there be a stormy day or 2 straight or days lacking sunlight. Should I be prepared with a separate light source and controlled humidity indoors? If anyone has any thoughts please share.
Iv never grown in coco coir but i think it requires more frequent watering so i would imagine outdoors will increse that need even more. Even if you have some cloudy days you will still be getting some sun rays.
I just switched to coco. It definitely takes some getting used too but my last grow I grew in 3 gal pots and I could go 2-3 days between watering if needed. You can also water multiple times a day if you want to do that also. I will say coco is alot cleaner than dirt. I used coco loco which is amended. goodluck
