You should do more research into this - because it is glossed over much too often. There is much more to the story than Irish servitude although if you look at how the children alone were treated it might be a real eye opener. Actually America isn't like you must believe in the religion department. Most people don't even think/live by their religion until Sunday when they group together to quietly judge each other. Or at holiday meals. A religious president doesn't really matter but some feel it makes a person make better judgements if they feel hat there are everlasting repercussions. It's more a subconscious "check the religious demographic vote" no different then appealing to Alphabet soup demographic or Latinos or African Americans. Cause the not overly religious dont care if he is and the believers require belief in something... anything. If you don't mark a box you chance not getting their votes and if they aren't voting for you they are free votes for the other guy. Political bs. Personally I don't care if you believe in unicorn reincarnation or whatever, religion is just a way to help the human mind coup with everyday life. As long as you aren't batshit crazy trying to hurt people it's whatever. If it keeps you morally balanced and brings you peace awesome. Just don't try to push it on me. Everyone has their own ways of navigating their thought process and dealing with the things do or have done.
The countrysides are mostly white people cause a lot of us prefer being distanced from large groups of people that can interfere with our lives (mostly chasing the peace and quite and slightly safer environments) too many people in a small space and you get violence epicenters Meanwhile African Americans congregate around cities and group up in mostly black communities and are more openly social within the community but harks back to the issues of too many people in a small space and you get violence epicenters. It's the obvious reason for crime rates being higher in black communities.

It is illegal for the US armed forces to enlist anyone with an IQ below 83. They would obviously like to enlist more people, but 83 is the cutoff because those with a score lower than 83 are more of a liability than an asset. The average IQ of black Americans is 85. Hard to overstate the impact of this. To put that in perspective, about half of the black population is too dull to join the army. I don't like it. It is what it is. Even that doesn't seem to fully explain such a VAST difference in murder stats. There is evidence that high testosterone and inability to delay gratification may play a role as well. Then of course there is the black culture, which glorifies casual sex, murder, and crime. But we all know it's really the fault of racist white people...
