I'm reading that inline fans can be pretty loud...anyone know of any particular brands/models that are quieter? This will be in a 3x3x4 box....
That's basically the same size box I have. The Sunleaves Windtunnel's are about as quiet as it gets. Be sure when you install it to have it on rubber grommets or a bungee so it doesn't rattle your growbox.
My local hydro stores only carry the following brands 4" inline fans...should I settle for one of these or order the sunleaves? Eco Plus Eclipse Active Air I just read in another thread that you can get a speed controller for these fans that may help with the noise so I'm ordering one of these regardless. Does anyone have any experience with the brands above?

That would work perfect. I'd go with the 6" Sunleaves or Vortex and just lower the speed to an exceptional level. I've heard the 4" inlines are pretty loud. Hope that helps.
