Question about the smell of weed

    I just got some bud from my one dude and the smell isn't skunky or anything like that. I'm assuming it's homegrown and there isn't really a distinct smell. I'm just curious wondering if it's as good as he says it is.

    the weed isn't what actually smells skunky. in my opinion the skunk smell comes from the smoke. buds can have all different types of aromas.

    i just got some that smells good not skunky and is very potent
