Question about planter size

Discussion in 'First Time Marijuana Growers' started by RustyJay, Feb 6, 2009.

  1. This is my first grow. I have about 5 plants in their second week of flowering all in three and a half gallon pots. The biggest one grew alot it is like 39 inches now. Will the small pot size mess up my plants in the long run. Any info or suggestions would be appreciated

Depending on how big you want to grow your plants, you're at the right size pot right now with the 3.5's, and at 3.5'. The rule of thumb is 1 gallon for each 1 foot in height, give or take a bit. Your plants will stretch the first couple of weeks of flower, but you'll be okay where your at IMO. Good luck...

  3. Thanks for the info. Guess i should not sweat the small things it just hard not to when you really have not done it before. I mean when you put over a grand in it you really want it to do well. Here is a picture of my favorite one a blue dream clone i got on dec 29. I think it looks good.
