I was wondering if you are growing a feminized plant from seed then she goes hermi on me and pollinates herself. Will the seeds produced also be feminized? And will those seeds have a greater chance of being hermi's as well?
I will elaborate a little more.... anytime a female plant produces male sex organs and pollinates another female plant, all offspring will be feminized. That means no males, but there could be hermies. This is all genetic and not related to the mom stressing. There isn't really a greater chance of genetic hermies through self pollination, but if the hermie gene is present in the parent plant, chances are it will show through in subsequent generations as it becomes dominant. If she has the gene, she has it. bottom line. The bummer is, you have to grow out the seeds in order to find out.
