Question about applying to jobs

    When you apply to a job, can they find out if you got a diploma or not? I ask because I dropped out of high school and got a diploma from a test you can take online. But when I applied to jobs I accidently put the information of the school I dropped out of instead of the place where I got a diploma from. It was a small fuck up on my part.

    well in California GED is a diploma equivalent, so it's the same shit.. where do you live?

    If it comes up in the interview just correct it to whoevers interviewing you.

    I live in California. I didn't get a GED I got a diploma. The test I took is the same as a GED test but instead of getting a GED you get a diploma.

    yeah that's the same shit, I don't think it'll be a problem.

    I applied to a bunch of places like Best Buy, Costco, Wal-Mart, etc.

    9 times out of 10 the employer will not go through the hassle of verifying that you actually have a diploma or GED.
