Quantum board 4x120 fixture help

  1. Your plants look amazing, thank you for steering me away from the “blurple” lights. You convinced me to get the 4x 120 QBs instead of the BESTVA 1800W. I’m not sure why that random purple smiley keeps showing up when I give the demensions of my tent but it’s not 3 X 6. It’s 3ft wide X 3ft deep X 6ft tall. I’m sorry to hear about your diagnosis (Soil2Coco & SickoMindo) I hope our medicine helps you as much as it helps me. I’m going to have to read a tutorial about the feeding schedule for the Coco Coir. I have only used soil up until this point and super soil at that so I didn’t need to add nutrients. I got the Flora Trio and Cal Mag today. I do have one question though, since I’m using LED instead of HID do I need the exhaust running all the time? I won’t need it for heat management but I still need it for proper ventilation correct?

  2. Damn smiley face got me again!!! Lol. Sorry for the confusion

  3. Bungling through with bagseed and blurple here; eventually I'll move toward the (white) light. Main grow is 400w HPS with a 90w UFO for accent (shown here). Competing LED cabinets feature 750w and 460w respectively fed by matching veg boxes powered by 50w UFOs along with a solo extended veg cab running 150w. Lots of math but not as much cabbage as I'd like.

  4. That is a lot of math lol. But your plants look great! What’s your average yield with that setup? My HID was netting me (on average) 100-150 grams. 2-3 plants at a time. I’m hoping with the SCROG and QB setup I can push that to 250-300 but we’ll see what happens.

  5. If you train a flat canopy, you should have no problem yielding a gram per watt.

That’s what these boards are made for. I don’t think they have the penetration of a HPS but the wide spread of the light and low heat are the selling points.

I’m going for 2 grams per watt with the same lights, 240 watts, over a 28x36 scrog

  6. Wow 1lb harvest? That’s beyond impressive, that’s the total Wattage of the 8 QB 120s and your blurple? Or were you referring to Just one SCROG under the 4x 120s?

  7. I should do 2 lbs in that space. That’s my 4x4.

    This is my 28x36 scrog

  8. Wowwwwww I had no idea it was possible to yield a lb from such a small space. I have questions now lol. Is this an average yield for you or strain dependent? How many plants? C02 supplementation?

  9. It’s an experiment really. It’s definitely gonna be strain or even pheno dependent. I grow perpetually and get anywhere from 8 to 18 ounces from 1/2 my 4x4 monthly. But I throw all different strains in there.

  10. You are in the same place I was in.. This is a long threat but very helpful.
HLG QB120 boards in 3k in stock for $29.

I remember reading multiple times the wiring is so easy a 10 year old can do it, and somebody had their 9 year old to help them do it. They talk about distance and how many lights you should get. Should be 1 light for 2 sq.

    Hope this helps

  11. Thank you so much thank you

  12. I wouldnt say one light for 2 sq ft because my single light covers 4 sqft. And with the XL lights 2 lights can cover almost 9 sq ft so 1 light per 4 is a good amount

  13. It’s one light per 2 sf for the qb120’s and qb132’s.

  14. @Soil2Coco corrected it for me. I was just typing about those in another thread. Sorry if I misled some
