purple stem?

    The plant I am growing has a purple stem, its about 2 inches tall now. It has had the purple stem from the beggining though. What does this mean?

    A purple stem doesn't nesicarilly mean purple weed
    It can be cuased by to much stress
    And some strains just grow like that.

    mine turn people because they are fast growing. Out of alot of plants that I have done, purple is meaning there is growth.

    Have you been feeding your plant yet? I've always heard that overfeeding early on can cause a purple stem.

    My seedlings all had purple stems.

    most of mine were purple too

    All MJ sprouts have purple stems.

    Cantharis im not so sure about that. But not debating. Just curiuos what could be wrong with mine.
    Mines completely green and has been after 2 weeks after germination
    Looks exactly like the ones with purple stems.

    as stated above it depends on the strain that your growing, most have a pruple stem, some have green

    yeah mine sprouted with a purplish red stem its normal

    i think it's like a litter of anything (ie kittens, piglets, bunnies, etc)....some may have a brown patch or marking the others don't have but it's no big deal. i germinated 10 seeds and one of the seedlings has a purple stem. all the same strain (go figure), however as it grows it seems to be growing out of its 'birth mark'.
